Atlanta is a beautiful city. I wish I could stay longer as I didn’t have enough time to explore.
Right now, I have so many things I want to blog about and I just don’t know where to start! The highlight of my day though is the photo I took when we went to Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta. I posted it on my Instagram account and Georgia Aquarium’s official Instagram account liked it, reposted my photo on their profile, and they told me, I am their #FINtasticFan of the week! Yay! That made me smile but I could be happier with a freebie or they could let me adopt a dolphin or something.
Here it is and that’s my brother looking up!
This is just one of their viewing areas. The aquarium itself is huge and even if there are so many people, you will never run out of places that will allow you to view and even touch our underwater friends. I just wasn’t able to explore the entire place because we were pressed for time but I can say that Georgia Aquarium is one place you shouldn’t miss for anyone who will visit Atlanta.
Sometimes I wish I am one of those famous bloggers who get paid for traveling and eating at different places. That would be great doing something I love and getting paid for it. Truth is, nothing can stop me from traveling and exploring whether I get paid or not. 🙂
If you are someone who wants to be on top when it comes to paying your bills on time, then I highly recommend downloading this app called Check.
I came across this app while browsing through Facebook and since it’s free, I downloaded it. Basically what it does is it keeps track of bills, reminds you that you need to pay this and that, it shows you the total amount of debt you owe to credit cards, total amount of bills you have to pay and how much is left on your bank account. This app will literally wake you up from your shopping spree dreams and will smack you in the face with this reality called financial status.
Once you download it, you just need to register with your email address which is the normal drill. Then you can go ahead and punch in your logins for your utility accounts (electric, gas, cable, mobile, etc), your credit card logins (pretty much safe just like Mint), any investments you have and your bank details. Pretty scary at first but there’s no harm in reading through everything first before you enter your personal information.
The main reason why I downloaded it is just to keep track of my bills. I am never late for payments so I always put notes in my calendar regarding payment deadlines. I also made an excel file where I keep track of my expenses and how much I am saving. But admittedly, sometimes I just get so busy with other stuff that I couldn’t monitor my own financial issues. It was just in time that I found out about Check so I can just have a one-stop shop or let’s just say my own financial secretary. It also gives you suggestions how you can pay off your credit card debts, will recommend cards with 0% APR (but take note they are only zero for a number of months so we should always verify the “actual” APR), and will give you suggestions how to improve your credit score.
So far it’s been helping me a lot not to splurge on stuff I don’t need.
I’m giving it 4.5 oinks.
I would’ve given 5 if I’m getting paid for this. :p
Financial peace isn’t the acquisition of stuff. It’s learning to live on less than you make, so you can give money back and have money to invest. You can’t win until you do this. –Dave Ramsey
How about posting something on a lighter note? I guess I can do that just to get off my mind from any negativity and depressing things.
I am about to try Lyft or probably Uber next week. I’ve been driving around but sometimes there are times when you need someone to drive for you for a cheaper rate (to the airport, medical appointments, if you want to arrive at a party incognito or if you just don’t feel like driving at all). I have downloaded both apps and so far, Lyft’s selling point is that their drivers are more personal whereas Uber drivers are more on the professional/formal style. I don’t know but that’s just how they advertise it and also based on reviews, some people become really good friends with Lyft drivers. Maybe it’s the pink mustache?
I will see which of them is available around 3AM sometime next week and I will try the first one at close proximity to my house.
In the meantime, here is a picture of the chicken fries I bought the other day. It’s delish. I wish I bought more.
After the heartbreaking news I learned about two days ago, I guess I am half okay. No one will ever be okay when it comes to life-threatening illnesses and the moment you or a loved one is diagnosed with it, it’s like your whole world shatters and it will totally change the way you live your life and your attitude.
You may be given months or a number of years to live and the thought of it is scary, in a sense that, you will leave all your friends and family..and that is something no one ever wants to happen. Maybe that’s why people are scared of dying. When your days are numbered, you get scared at first and then as the days go by, you will realize that you just have to make the most out of the remaining days of your life.
But come to think of it, healthy or ill, our days are numbered. The only difference is we don’t know exactly when we are going to die. Most of us don’t even think about death on a day-to-day basis. Well, why would we think about it when we are enjoying summer at the beach, singing out loud in karaokes, laughing with friends, working out… We just forget the fact that everything can change in a split second. There is nothing wrong with having fun. We just have to keep in mind that while having fun, we should always make every moment with our friends and family very memorable because we don’t know if it’s the last time that we are ever going to see them.
Hug people when you can. Kiss passionately. Say “I love you” to the people you love. Make time for friends and family. Forgive your enemies. Help and don’t ask for anything in return. Explore different places. Have more patience. Always smile. Be a blessing to other people.
Life is short and it’s never too late to do these things.

First love. First friend in kindergarten. First friend in high school. First friend in college. First car. First time to drive a car. First boyfriend/girlfriend. First heartache. First blog. First kiss. First best friend. First everything.
There’s always a first time for everything and if you want to get to know someone real deep, just ask that person “When was the first time you….? What was your first…? Who was your first…..? Is this your first….?” and trust me, the conversation will just go on and on and on.
Like the very first time I went to Starbucks and ordered my first Starbucks coffee. When the barista asked for my name, I gave her my FULL NAME and I was even about to reach for an ID and she said there’s no need. I felt like a complete idiot but at least my coffee tasted good but I had to endure around 2 minutes of shame while waiting for my coffee. Well, I guess everyone has their own “My first time in Starbucks story.” I just hope yours is dumber.

So it has been like how many weeks since I last posted my intro. That’s what’s wrong with me and many other bloggers who do not become as successful as the others when it comes to generating followers/readers. I just procrastinate a lot I guess or maybe I’m too busy with work. One hallmark of a great procrastinator is when you think you have so much to do and then you make your own excuses when you end up not doing them.
I’ll stop talking about myself. 😁
It’s hard to come up with a blog theme that will surely be a hit. I post tons of food on my Instagram account but at the back of my mind I always ask myself..”who cares what I eat?”. Well maybe unless I critique the food and the restaurant then maybe that is something else.
So I finally just decided to let this be my diary-but-not-so-diary type of blog.
Welcome to my boring world.

So here I am lying in my bed and trying to sleep. Suddenly, the thought of blogging again crossed my mind. AGAIN. Yes. The problem with me is that I get so excited when I start a new blog but then that enthusiasm just kinda fades out until I just end up getting so lazy to just even login to my online journal/blog? In doing that, I have created more than ten blogs! I had accounts with Live Journal, Blogger, Multiply, Tumblr etc. I can say that I have reached that point where you can label me as a “trying hard” and I won’t even hate you for it. Well, truth be told, I wanted to have followers of course. Because if you have followers, it only means you’re posting something that is so interesting which makes you a likable person. I still can’t comprehend how famous bloggers are able to do that. I mean, come on, they can just talk about the dust falling from their ceiling and people will still follow them and like their post and share it.
Is it about grammar? I guess no. I’ve seen famous bloggers who are not-so-perfect with their grammar and yet they have a million followers. Whhyyyy…. Is it about layout? No. I’ve seen a blogger whose page looks like a standard legal sized white paper and still had 700k followers. So what is it then?
I have tried it all… music blog, photo blog, travel blog.. But I just end up getting tired of posting. Now, I am trying again. The only difference is now I’m not gonna try for the sake of trying. I guess it’s better when you can just be yourself when you blog and not to think of other bloggers. No pressure this time on followers too. I mean, I can blog all my life and talk to myself for all I care.
I kid you yes.
